About Classbee
Classbee is a confidence platform for children's extracurricular activities in Hong Kong. We help parents not just discover kids' classes — art, swimming, music, language, STEM, and more — but feel confident enough to take the first step.
Why I built Classbee
I'm Stella, the founder of Classbee. I've called Hong Kong home since 2019, and I'm a mum of two. Motherhood is the reason this company exists. I build technology that supports parents because I believe that when our own lives are a little easier, we can show up more present for our children.
Classbee is actually my second project for parents. My first, Simone, is an AI companion that guides parents through the emotional ups and downs of raising children — you can chat with her directly on WhatsApp. Since she went live in January, parents around the world have reached out with feedback that genuinely moved me — and confirmed something I already felt deeply: parents are doing some of the hardest work there is, often with not enough support.
Classbee grew out of a more everyday frustration — one I lived personally. Hong Kong is full of wonderful activities and classes for children, and full of parents eager to find what their kids will love. Yet the process of searching and connecting is painfully fragmented on both sides. I kept asking myself: why can't a parent browse everything in one place — sorted by age, interest, and location, with trial options highlighted and most of their questions answered on a single page? That's what I wanted as a busy parent: easy discovery and easy access.
Why this problem matters
Our research with Hong Kong parents revealed that discovery alone isn't the real pain point. The top frustration is commitment anxiety — parents find options but have no way to know whether their child will actually enjoy an activity before paying for a full term.
Classbee solves both halves of the problem: we consolidate scattered options into a single, searchable, bilingual platform, and we foreground trial availability, session-level detail, and suitability cues that make the first step feel safe. The goal is simple — to turn "I hope this works out" into "let's give it a try."
Why I'm the one to build it
I love learning, and I want my children to have extraordinary experiences — that passion is the engine behind Classbee. Building this platform had me signing up for dozens of activities, because for the first time I could actually see what was out there, and it looked amazing. Education is driven by passionate people, and getting close to this ecosystem only deepened my conviction.
I chose this over my corporate career, because it fulfils me in ways I can't measure — and because I'm building the product I wished existed when I was the parent scrolling through Whatsapp groups and IG posts, trying to find the right class for my own kids.
Our vision for Hong Kong families
I want every parent in Hong Kong to be able to find what their child will love — quickly, confidently, and in one place. A city this rich in opportunity shouldn't make discovery this hard. Classbee exists to close that gap: to connect passionate educators with the families looking for them, and to give children more chances to find the activity that lights them up.
