What a class looks like
Each lesson explores one weather theme through observation and learning a few Chinese characters, followed by a small experiment or discussion. Children then make a themed craft, such as a weather spinner or a mini rain gauge, and practise sharing what they found.

Curriculum & Progression
Structured curriculum
Four set lessons: Today's weather (weather spinner), Sun and temperature (hot/cold thermometer model), How much rain? (mini rain gauge) and Wind and weather report (windsock plus a mini weather report). Children build up a weather log across the sessions.
Learning Outcomes
Recognise sunny, cloudy, rainy and windy weather; learn 12 weather-related Traditional Chinese characters; get a first idea of temperature, rainfall and wind direction; practise comparing hot/cold, more/less and big/small; and learn to observe, record and share discoveries, finishing with a short weather report.

About
A four-session science course for children aged 3–5 that starts from the sky, sun, rain and wind they see every day. Through observation, Chinese character learning, simple experiments and crafts, children pick up basic weather knowledge, from comparing hot and cold to seeing how rainfall is measured.
