What a class looks like
Each lesson opens with playful drama games so everyone joins in, then works on the week's theme through character and voice exploration, movement and storytelling. Lessons build towards a mini performance, a classroom performance and, for Spotlight, a public performance on stage.
Right for your child?
Suits shy or hesitant children who want to build confidence in speaking and performing at their own pace. Start with Discovery to try one lesson, or choose Builder or Spotlight for a fuller programme; no prior experience needed.
Curriculum & Progression
Structured curriculum
Builder runs five set weekly themes: stage foundations, teamwork, improvisation, storytelling showcase and classroom performance. Spotlight adds script development, character building, stage movement and a final rehearsal, ending with a public performance. Discovery is a single experiential lesson.
Learning Outcomes
Clearer speech and voice projection, stronger stage presence, teamwork and improvisation skills, and the confidence of performing in front of an audience. A memorable first drama experience and a starting point for discovering your child's communication strengths.
Assessments & Recognition
About
An English speech and drama series for children aged 5–12 that takes shy children from 'shy to shine' through playful drama games, character and voice exploration, and creative expression through movement and storytelling. Three options: Discovery (1 experiential lesson, HK$380), Builder (5 lessons ending in a classroom performance, HK$1,680) and Spotlight (10 lessons with a classroom performance and a public performance on 26 December 2026, HK$3,660, including an English Speech & Drama certificate and entry to 'The Broadcast Lab' and the 'SHYX' challenge). Every option includes a personal assessment of confident communication skills and access to a community group with communication tips.
Before your first class
Let your child know it is a playful class with no pressure to perform, and everyone joins in at their own pace. Parents can join the communication tips group for follow-up ideas at home.
