What a class looks like
Children settle into the dimmed sensory room with their grown-up and take a few minutes to get used to the glow. The main play is matched to their stage: babies reach for and gaze at glowing balls, while toddlers chase light-up balls, stack glowing cubes and explore fibre-optic lights. Each session winds down with calm, gentle sensory time before home.

Babies and toddlers under 3 who love exploring light, colour and connection, with a parent or carer. Choose the group that matches your child's stage (non-walker, new walker, or 22 months – 3 years). A nice complement to Montessori playgroups, and no experience is needed.
Curriculum & Progression
Semi-structured (flexible framework)
Teacher-guided 'Light Sensory Touch' sessions built around gentle visual play with light, colour, texture and movement. Activities are adapted to each age group and designed to complement the provider's Montessori playgroups.
Learning Outcomes
Visual tracking, reaching and grasping, gross and fine motor skills, colour recognition, sensory awareness, and bonding time with a parent.
About
A light-based sensory playgroup for babies and toddlers up to 3 years old, run by The Little Learning Tree and Open Book Learning Hub with a parent or carer joining every session. In a dimly lit sensory room filled with glowing balls, light-up cubes, columns and fibre-optic lights, children explore light, colour and texture through gentle visual play designed to calm and engage. There are three groups by stage: Baby Glow for non-walkers on Thursday mornings, plus two Friday afternoon groups for walkers up to 22 months and for 22 months to 3 years. Each group is sold as a 6-week package.

Before your first class
