What a class looks like

Each three-hour session combines short teaching moments with hands-on building and testing. Over the week, children move from basic programming to assembling their robot, adding sensors, giving it a mission and finally presenting it on showcase day.

Suits curious 8–12 year olds who like building and figuring out how things work. No prior robotics experience is mentioned. Can be paired with the Multi-Activity afternoon session for a full-day camp.

Curriculum & Progression

Structured curriculum

A condensed version of the Mini Makers flagship curriculum. Day 1 Bring Your Robot to Life, Day 2 Build Your Robot, Day 3 Make It Smart, Day 4 Give It a Mission, Day 5 Product Showcase.

Learning Outcomes

Children gain basic programming and computational thinking, engineering fundamentals, systems thinking and problem-solving skills, plus the confidence to present their own work.

About

A hands-on robotics and coding camp where children build and program their first robot in just five days. Led by Campus X instructors, they learn basic programming, assemble and test their robot, use sensors to help it respond to its surroundings and give it a real-world mission. The week ends with a product showcase where each child demonstrates their robot and presents their idea.

Before your first class

Encourage your child to think of a problem a robot could help solve, as the camp ends with each child presenting their idea.
