What a class looks like
Each lesson centres on one ocean topic, starting with hands-on exploration or a game such as sorting, matching or puzzles. Children then create something related to the theme, like shell painting, a coloured-sand picture or a clay sea turtle, and share their work using simple Chinese words.

Curriculum & Progression
Structured curriculum
Four set lessons: A day at the seaside (sensory exploration and shell painting), Sea animal discoveries (giant ocean puzzle and an 'I found…' game), Little ocean guardians (beach clean-up sorting game and coloured-sand sea animal picture) and The sea turtle's journey (growth story and soft clay craft).
Learning Outcomes
Recognise beach items, shells, sand and common sea animals; learn 12 sets of ocean-themed Chinese words; practise observing, sorting, matching, counting and sequencing; learn about keeping beaches clean and simple recycling; understand a sea turtle's life cycle; and share discoveries and artwork using simple Chinese words.

About
A four-session art course for children aged 3–5 exploring the ocean world through sensory play, sorting games, cooperative puzzles and art-making. Children learn about seaside objects, sea animals and simple ways to protect the ocean, and practise Chinese vocabulary along the way.
